Variable hydrostatic drive

Precision is key in gardening – and with hydrostatic drive, you’re in total control. Just speed up or slow down with the push or pull of a lever.

 

Roto-Stop

Sometimes you need to stop the blades from turning but keep the engine running. Roto-Stop does exactly that – allowing you to move across paths, or empty the grass bag.

 

Auto Choke

With Auto Choke, HRD ensures a perfect start every time. Plus, with its automatic decompression system, it won’t ever let you down.

 

GXV engine

Strong and powerful, its pro-spec GXV engine is highly powerful, while keeping fuel and oil consumption low. Plus with low vibration and noise levels, it’s perfect for regular use and longer jobs.

Powerfully light

With a powerful GXV160 engine, the HRD is capable of reaching 2,800rpm – meaning it’s more than strong enough to take on the most stubborn of lawns. It also boasts a dual air filter and an extra-large 1.5 litre fuel tank so you can keep cutting for longer.

Built to take on any garden

Tackle demanding jobs with incredible ease. Featuring a tough cast aluminium deck and reinforced cutter deck handle, plus a GXV160cc engine with a durable cast iron cylinder sleeve and crankshaft, it’s engineered to take on the outdoors.

Leave your mark

The HRD has a rear roller built into the cutter-deck, meaning you can get the traditional stripe effect without the need for a heavy roller. That’s why when we designed the HRD, this finishing touch was added in from the start.

Precision trimming

Choose between six different cutting heights ranging from 14-52mm and have full control over the look and length of the lawn you’re cutting. Go short once spring approaches, or maintain a longer cut throughout the winter.

Aluminium cutter deck

With a 53cm aluminium cutter deck it has an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, plus excellent corrosion resistance, making it our toughest deck yet.

Large grass bag

With a large 80l grass bag, you can keep cutting for longer without having to keep stopping to empty it. Perfect when you are up against the clock!

Optional mulching kit

Opt for a mulching kit on our HRD 536 HXE and keep your lawn looking healthy and neat - with no clumps of grass left behind.

Large fuel tank

With an extra-large 1.5 litre fuel tank, you'll have enough fuel to take on the longest lawn. No need to stop and refuel mid-cut.

Height adjustment points

With 4 height adjustment points, you can raise or lower the handles so you can work at a position that's most comfortable for you.
