Compact and lightweight, the HTA 30 pole pruner is the first of its kind in the AS System and is ideal for pruning back high branches, removing dead wood from trees and maintaining hedges. Powered by two interchangeable AS 2 lithium-ion batteries, which can be used in other tools in STIHL AS System, such as a leaf blower, grass trimmer, hedge trimmers, garden pruners, powered secateurs and more. 
 
The STIHL HTA 30 features a telescopic shaft that can be adjusted without tools, giving you a total length of up to 280 centimetres, making it perfect for tackling taller trees and shrubs. It’s incredibly lightweight, weighing 3.6 kg, and is easy to handle too thanks to the soft-grip handle. The rubberised grip allows you to hold the tool comfortably and securely. 
 
The HTA 30 is fitted with a STIHL 1/4" PM3 saw chain and a 20cm STIHL Light 01 guide bar which is perfect for making clean and precise cuts on branches up to 17 centimetres in diameter. The compact cutting head provides excellent visibility of the guide bar and makes manoeuvring in tight spaces easy. Chain tensioning is quick and intuitive thanks to the spring-loaded mechanism under the sprocket cover – simply fold out the handle and rotate the cover to automatically adjust the chain tension.

For transport and storage, the telescopic shaft can be shortened from 280 centimetres to 190 centimetres, making the HTA 30 easy to carry and store away. The HTA 30 runs quietly and with low vibration, meaning you can work comfortably without hearing protection. A charge status indicator with LEDs lets you keep track of remaining battery power at a glance. 

Cannot be used with Kombi attachments, HLA 40 hedge cutting head, RTS harness or shaft extension.

Working time with 2x AS 2 batteries is up to 28 minutes / 140 cuts.

RightTight chain tensioning

FAST AND CONVENIENT RE-TENSIONING. The chain tension can be readjusted quickly, easily and without tools, by means of a spring mechanism. By opening and closing the chain sprocket cover with the fold-out handle, the chain is automatically tensioned to the right level. Optimal chain tension not only improves cutting performance and safety, but also extends the service life of the chain through reduced wear.

Tool-free chain sprocket cover

EFFICIENT MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING. The chain sprocket cover is easy to unscrew and remove. You do not need any additional tools for this and you can also remove the chain sprocket cover while wearing work gloves. This means you can remove chips or dirt quickly and effectively when needed, and that maintenance or a cutting attachment change are done in no time.

Transparent oil tank

MAKES FILL-LEVEL MONITORING EASY. With the transparent oil tank, you can easily and quickly check the fill level of the chain oil. This means that you always know when you need to add chain oil for efficient work over long periods.

Comfortable grip sleeve

Thanks to its shape, the comfortable grip sleeve covering the handle area means your power tool is secure and firmly held in your hands.

Telescopic shaft

IMPROVED REACH. The telescopic shaft allows you to work at height from the ground. This is ideal for trimming high-up branches or cutting tall hedges. The telescopic shaft can be adjusted without tools.

Branch hook

REMOVAL OF LOOSE CUTTINGS. Thanks to the sturdy branch hook, you can remove loose and cut branches from great heights.

Excellent tool balance

REDUCES WORKING FATIGUE. Thanks to the battery’s optimal centre of gravity, this power tool has a low tilting torque which supports fatigue-free working.

Protective foot

PREVENTS DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE GROUND. The protective foot supplied as standard prevents the housing from coming into direct contact with the ground. This protects the housing from dirt and moisture.

Eyelet for shoulder strap

COMFORTABLE WORK. To make your work easier and improve ergonomics, you can attach a harness to this STIHL power tool. You can use a special suspension eye or hanger strip to do so.

Hanging eyelet

FOR SAFE STORAGE. The power tool has an integrated carrying ring. This allows you to store your power tool safely and compactly.
